Latvia Onshore Hybrid Energy Development

Pondera Development and Contrario are developing onshore wind farms in Latvia. Contrario is a Latvian renewable energy developer. Renewable energy will make the country less dependent on foreign energy generation and will increase the share of renewable electricity, which is in line with the country's sustainable energy goals. Latvia is challenging and interesting market where a lot of dynamics regarding (renewable) energy will take place in the upcoming years. Pondera and Contrario see an important role for onshore wind in the energy mix and we are motivated to translate the abundant national resources into more sustainable energy generation. 

Pondera and Contrario have designated windy and interesting locations and have secured land rights. The EIA for these projects will be performed to assess the environmental impact and to later receive the permits to further be able to develop the projects.
